IPS: River station has been running since Monday. Most repairs in town have been completed. There is still a mainline repair on Columbia Lane that crews are working on today. This affects those on the Huke Pump Station. There are still a few private lines shut off waiting for landowners to fix their problems. If you don’t have water and ARE NOT served by the Huke Station, please call the office at 541-922-3814 to report the outage.

IPS BOOSTER STATIONS: So far, water on IPS has been at low pressure. Crews turned on the Columbia Lane and Oregon Street booster stations this morning. The others will be turned on over the next few days.

MAIN CANAL PUMP STATIONS: All have been started EXCEPT Bonner Meadows and 16-D. After crews finish up in Irrigon, they will head to Boardman to work on these pump stations. Hopefully all will be up and running today.

April 25, 2022

Boardman Pump Stations: are on low pressure. EXCEPT: Sunrise – there is a break in the line that needs to be repaired, and 16-D – we will be installing a VFD on the pump as soon as it arrives.

Division Street Pump Station in Irrigon – went on Friday, 4/22/22.

Irrigon Pressurized System (IPS) – crews turned on the river station this morning. They are going around town chasing leaks on private systems and shutting off their deliveries. They are also on the lookout for drain valves that didn’t get closed, and mainline leaks. This will take most of the day. The system will be on low pressure until demand increases. The booster stations will be turned on as usage allows.

April 19, 2022 – In general, to keep the pump stations up and running without risk of damaging the system due to high pressures, it takes at least 20% water use. Due to the rains and freezing weather, we have been having difficulties achieving that minimum use on the pump stations.

IRRIGON: Crews were at the IPS River Station yesterday trying to get water started. They were not able to get the pumps up and running because there was not enough use on the system. With the rains forecasted for tomorrow, they will come back at the end of the week and try again.

BOARDMAN: Crews will be in Boardman trying to start the pump stations today and tomorrow. If they are not able to keep them on, they will try again at the end of the week.

Watch here for updates.

UPDATE 4/15/22: Crews will be at the Irrigon river station Monday 4/18 at 9:00 am to start the pumps. The Division Street Pump Station will be turned on Monday afternoon or Tuesday, depending on how things go. We will be in Irrigon for 2 days getting everything started. Crews will return to Boardman and Umatilla after that and work on those pump stations.

Due to the uncommonly cold and rainy weather forecasted for this week, any pump stations that have already been started are being shut down and winterized. They will come back on line late this week or early next week, weather depending.

Pumps in Irrigon, which have not been started up yet, are scheduled to be turned on next Monday or Tuesday, April 18-19, weather depending.
