WEID will apply the aquatic herbicide Magnacide H (active ingredient:  Acrolein) to its main canal with the following schedule:

Boardman Canal Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at the Siphon and Lateral 17.  The treatment will start at approximately 8 am, and water is considered "treated" from 8 am Tuesday to 8 am Wednesday. 

Middle Canal Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at "Orchard Check" (just west of Division).  The treatment will begin at approximately 8 am Wednesday, and the water from Division thru the Siphon is considered "treated" from 8 am Wednesday thru 10 pm Thursday. 

The Upper Canal will not be treated.

The active ingredient is Acrolein.   Pond weed and algae are the targeted weed in the canal.
