Water Start-Up - UPDATES
UPDATE 4/15/25 - 6:00 pm - Crews have been busy in both Irrigon and Boardman today.
IPS: Crews fired up the river station this morning. They have been chasing water around town, which has appeared in places it is not necessarily wanted. All of the booster stations are on. There are a few lines that are isolated and waiting for repairs (both WEID and landowner).
RELOCATION CANAL: flushed this morning. RL-1 was flushed and is open.
DIVISION (RL-2) PS: Crews began pressurizing the system late this afternoon, but were not able to get it fully pressurized before going home. The pump was shut down and they will be back at it in the morning.
SOUTHSHORE DRIVE PS: Crews did not make it up there today.
BOARDMAN PUMP STATIONS: All were started and flushed yesterday and today. If there was sufficient use on each station, they were left on. Otherwise they will be on the spring schedule as was mailed out.

UPDATE 4/8/25 - Due to the failure of the Stanfield Irrigation District's canal, WEID and the other Umatilla Basin irrigation districts are sharing resources (labor, equipment, liner) to help them get water back into their system. This is bound to delay the things by a few days. Please be patient!
Water start up has been up and down this spring. Water is flowing in the main canal, and crews are starting to get the laterals open. Here is the current status:
MAIN CANAL:
- Umatilla and Irrigon: Most of the lines and laterals are open and flushed. There are a few that are still closed due to landowner leaks that need to be repaired.
- Boardman: Laterals are slowly being unlocked and flushed. Flood irrigators who are ready for water need to both order their water and call the office to have your ditches inspected. Text to 541-922-9372.
RELOCATION CANAL (IRRIGON): Crews will be completing repairs early next week, then we will be able to flush and get the water flowing. UPDATE: 4/11/25 - Target is Tuesday, 4/15 for flushing and starting RL-1

- Irrigon Pressurized System (IPS): Tuesday, 4/15
- Boardman Pump Stations: Monday - Wednesday, 4/14 - 4/16
